Numbers 10-5
Now, I know that there are so many games shown at E3 that it becomes difficult to narrow the list down to just ten. So, there may be some games left out that might make some people throw a hissy fit over, but these are the games that I, personally, can't wait to get my hands on and play.
10. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
The reason why this game is at number ten is because I haven't had the chance to actually play any of the Uncharted games, but the whole action movie premise and Indiana Jones like places has me excited to play through the whole series.
9. Dead Island
8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Despite Infinity Ward experiencing a mass exodus following the whole legal battle between the creators of Call of Duty and Activision, and Activision's intentions of releasing a new game in the series every year becoming tiresome, there is still potential to make a great game. The team is creating an even bigger cinematic experience for the single player that revolves around an all out third World War, and greatly improving Spec Ops mode, and the online multiplayer. Equal mixes of worry and excitement put this game earlier on the list.
7. Battlefield 3
Battlefield 3 is going to be the game that gives Call of Duty a run for its money. It's approach to larger fights including more tactical maneuvers, and vehicles as opposed to Call of Duty's fast-paced, close quarters fighting will offer a different experience for those who are a little exhausted with Call of Duty. Incorporate the amazing looking Frostbite 2 engine that creates the best looking shooter around and its long time hardcore fanbase and you've got yourself a possible successor to the crown in the FPS kingdom.
6. Batman: Arkham City
Batman: Arkham Asylum has been called the best Batman game ever created. It was able to really capture everything Batman was about by mixing awesome, combo driven fighting with excellent stealth sequences and clever uses for gadgets. Now, Rocksteady Studios is taking all of the great things of the previous game and putting them in a more expansive setting of the new Arkham City which could bring about more of a Grand Theft Auto feel after leaving behind the Bioshock-like atmosphere. The inclusion of Catwoman as a playable character adds even more to the excitement as it brings about a more diverse way to play the game.
Well, those are the first five. The next five should be up in a little while.
