List: Top 5 Final Boss Themes

That Bad Feeling in the Pit of Your Stomach
Next to video games, music is my biggest interest, so creating a list that involves the two is what I've really wanted to do for some time. I have a particular interest in video game bosses. The most memorable bosses are created by combining many different elements, and having a theme to fit the boss is key. The themes for very last bosses of games are some of the best and most intense pieces of music I've ever heard. So to celebrate the epic climaxes of video games, here is my list of the top 5 final boss themes. *SPOILERS AHEAD*
5. "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"-Guitar Hero 3
At the end of Guitar Hero 3, you are dragged down to Hell where you must shred through the hardest songs in the game. After playing through the likes of  Metallica's "One", Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast", and Slayer's impossible "Raining Blood", you have to face Lou in a guitar duel for your life. The song that plays is an epic metal cover of Charlie Daniel's "The Devil Went Down to Georgia", which is quite fitting for the scenario at hand. Whether or not you agree with how fair this boss battle really is, you can't deny how perfect the song choice is.

4. The Omnipotent King Blue -Viewtiful Joe
After fighting through the first four bosses in a row and defeating the terrifying Fire Leo, Joe has finally saved his girlfriend, Silvia, from doom. At least that's what he thinks. Before Joe has time to embrace his rescued girlfriend, she's taken away from him by the massive being that brought her into the movie. Joe finds out that the evil being is none other than his idol, Captain Blue and he must fight his all powerful god form in order to rescue Silvia again. The fight takes place as Joe inside his giant robot Six Machine fighting on top of the freaking earth! The music that plays sounds like black and white space movies meets the end of the world. The perfect soundtrack to a battle against a god and a giant robot.

3. Hag 1-Banjo-Tooie
The Hag 1 is an epic boss, well, for a Banjo-Kazooie game, it's pretty epic. Just think about it, a bear and a bird against a skeleton witch with magic powers inside a massive drilling machine. The Hag 1 is equipped with all kinds of weapons like lasers, bombs, toxic gas, and oh yeah, a giant drill. The music playing really tells you that your in for a fight.

2. Red and Lance -Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal/Heartgold/Soulsilver
Have you ever been in against an opponent and you knew that you were just out matched? That they were just so good that you had absolutely no chance at winning. That's the feeling everyone gets when they come up against Red for the first time. Red is the protagonist in Pokémon Red/Blue/Green/Yellow who fights his way through and defeats everyone in the Elite Four. Instead of staying to become the Champion, Red decides to move on and explore new places. Red is then seen in the sequels Gold and Silver and is the single most difficult trainer ever battled against in any Pokémon game ever. None of  his Pokémon are below level 80 and they all know the strongest moves ever. The music that plays during Red's battle is also played during the new Champion's, Lance, battle as well, who is fairly difficult also. This music really gets the player worked up, as it is fast, intense and foreboding. It really plays up the intensity and importance of that battle that is taking place.

Gold/Silver/Crystal Version

Heartgold/Soulsilver Version

1. Big Arm, Great Eggman Robo, Mecha Sonic -Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic and Knuckles are both incredible games that are two parts of one giant story. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are trying to save the Master Emerald from the hands of Dr. Robotnik who plans to use the emerald to take over the world. The music that I have listed as number one is played at the end of both games, and at the end of both story lines in Sonic and Knuckles. This music was the most terrifying thing that I had ever listened to when I was five. Every battle with Dr. Robotnik has the same music, so when I first heard this music and saw the massive arm robot flying through the darkness in the background at the end of Sonic 3, I nearly lost it. An even bigger surprise was what I was put up against in Sonic and Knuckles. A massive robot, that shoots fire, tries to smash you with it's fingers, and blasts an enormous laser beam at you. The music really makes you feel like the entire world is coming to an end, and you're the only thing preventing its demise.

Well there you have it, my favorite final boss themes. These are my favorite, but I'm interested interested in what you people from the internet like the most. Feel free to post your suggestions in the comments. I might make another list containing the most popular.
